The Story Behind efilonarion

We started with a simple observation: most business consulting feels disconnected from reality. That's why we built something different.

How We Actually Started

Back in 2018, I was sitting in yet another corporate boardroom listening to consultants throw around buzzwords that meant nothing to the people actually running the business. The disconnect was painful to watch.

That's when Cordelia and I decided to try something radical: what if we actually listened first? What if we understood the real problems before proposing solutions?

Seven years later, we've worked with over 200 Australian businesses. Not because we have magic formulas, but because we take time to understand what's really happening behind the spreadsheets.

What Drives Our Work

These aren't corporate values printed on posters. They're how we actually operate.

Real Problems First

We spend weeks understanding your actual challenges before suggesting anything. Most solutions fail because they solve the wrong problem.

Evidence Over Theory

Every recommendation comes with data from your business. We test small changes before rolling out big ones.

Your Team Knows Best

The people doing the work usually know what's broken. Our job is helping them fix it, not imposing external solutions.

The People Behind the Work

Cordelia Blackthorne

Strategic Operations Director

Spent 12 years in manufacturing operations before joining us. She has this uncanny ability to spot inefficiencies that everyone else has learned to ignore. Runs our process optimization work.

Maverick Thornfield

Business Development Specialist

Former small business owner who understands the pressure of making payroll. Leads our growth strategy projects and has a talent for finding revenue opportunities that others miss.

How We Actually Work

Every project follows the same pattern. Not because we're rigid, but because this approach consistently delivers results.

1

Deep Listening Phase

We spend 2-3 weeks talking to everyone involved. Not just management. The people who actually do the work often have the clearest picture of what's not working.

2

Data Collection

We gather real numbers from your systems. Revenue patterns, cost breakdowns, efficiency metrics. The goal is understanding what's actually happening, not what should be happening.

3

Small Test Changes

Instead of big transformations, we try small improvements first. Change one process, measure the results, then decide if it's worth expanding.

4

Gradual Implementation

We roll out successful changes gradually, making sure your team can handle each new process before adding the next one. Sustainable change takes time.
